1-year update: Jovie

A note from Jovie’s new family:

This past year with Jovie has easily been the best year of our lives! Watching Jovie learn, grow, and change over the year has been so exciting and special to watch. She is the ultimate snuggler and definitely does not understand her size.

She loved playing in the snow last winter and has recently taken a liking to swimming in the lake this summer. She can be a bit lazy and will lay down in the grass when she decides that her walk is done, even if we are nowhere near home.

Jovie is the sweetest girl and everyone who meets her is instantly smitten. People stop us all the time to tell us how beautiful and sweet she is! We often say that Jovie's favorite thing is love -- giving it and receiving it. She always has to be as close as possible to us and can be a bit demanding when it comes to getting pets and snuggles (but we love it!).

She makes us laugh every single day with her facial expressions and how her tongue is constantly hanging out of her mouth, even if it's closed. Countless nicknames for her have come and gone over this year but the ones that have stuck around are JoJo, Little Bear, and Pookie. She is the dog we have always dreamed of!
